Desi Dhamaka
I guess I'd earned some clout as a filmmaker, because some time in April, my good friend Ranish Patel approached me with a gig. Ranish is part of the UW's ISA, and every year they have a huge cultural event called Desi Dhamaka. This year, he was going to be an emcee/host, and he wanted me to direct an introduction film for them. I was honored and more than happy to do it. Even though this wasn't going to be as extensive as the film I'd made for OSU, it would still be seen by hundreds of people and experience is experience. The shooting only took a couple of days, I got to use a fancy camera from UW CSS, and I learned how to make it look like night-time even when it was actually day time (whoa, movie magic right?).
